FAQs

QUESTIONS OFTEN ASKED

Will Kinesiology cure me?

No-one can cure anyone else. If you cut your finger, I can put a plaster on it but your body heals the cut, and if you break a bone, a doctor can set it, but he does not heal it – you do …. and so as Kinesiologist we do not “heal” or “treat” but work to re-establish balance so that you can heal more effectively and improve your quality of life.

Does Kinesiology come from the east?

Kinesiology developed from the workings of Doctor George Goodheart, an American chiropractor, in 1963. Since then many different branches of Kinesiology have developed all based on the scientific, neurological workings of the human body.

Kinesiology will undermine my faith … is that true?

Most certainly not! Kinesiologists are not religious leaders – they are facilitators whose aim is to assist you for your highest good. We work within the realm of your belief system and not our own.

When I get better, how long will it last?

That again is dependant on the individual. There is one certainty in life and that is change! Whilst we are living we are constantly presented with stressors, and how long we remain in balance depends on our genetic make-up and our ability to adapt to change appropriately. If you drive your car like the wind, it surely needs refuelling more often than if you join the Sunday drivers.

Do you give medication?

No. We do not diagnose nor prescribe – this is the right of medical doctors. We also do not “take you off” your medication. We acknowledge all therapies as of equal use, right , benefit and good and wish for you the same.
